A Diesel Particulate Filter is the best solution to reduce diesel particulates is considered a top priority.
What does a DPF do?
The soot particles exiting a diesel engine are trapped in a special filter made out of porous ceramic-like material. A special coating facilitates a burn-off of the trapped soot particles and therefore allows for continuous operation without the built-up of soot and an increase of back pressure in the exhaust system.
